Future changes on American Idol

So everyone who watches American Idol was shocked last week when a really good singer was voted off the show. But if everyone knew what the "American Idol'' executive producer knows, we wouldn't have been surprised when Pia Toscano was voted off. Lythgoe tells the blog Reality Rocks that he knows how many votes each contestant got and she was  "never a frontrunner.'' He says Pia "didn't connect with the audience the way we maybe think she did.'' Here is the big news Lythgoe says it's possible they may change the rules next season so voters pick the bottom three and the judges decide who gets voted off. Wow that would make a big difference. it could make it more of a singing competition that a popularity contest.
