Gas prices going up quickly

It wasn’t that long ago I stopped at the Exxon station at W.Esplanade and Causeway and gassed up for $3.19 a gallon, the next week it was $3.23, the next up to $3.34, last week it was $3.42 and this morning $3.54. As crude oil prices go up, so do gas prices. Gas prices have jumped almost thirty-cents and that Exxon station always has the lower end gas price. Others in the area like Shell are $3.79 for regular unleaded. Very few stations remain under $3.60. But the price of crude oil jumped over the last couple of weeks and now gas prices are playing catch up. Often times, stations will raise prices drastically, but you ever notice when it comes time to drop prices, they do so much slower. And it’s not like we can do anything about. It’s so frustrating to just pay what they say. But are Hybrids and electric cars really the answer?
