I'm Dreaming of A White Mardi Gras...

Good thing Mardi Gras is late this year, other years we'd have parades this weekend. Lots of snow in North La and Miss today. Sleet covers most of the area right now North of I-12 and I-10. It's staying above frezzing here but Baton Rouge is right at 32 so they have a rain/sleet mix so traveling today will be scary. My daughter just called and is leaving ULL to drive home and I told her to watch out for the icy overpasses. This morning when the temps were below freezing at the Manchac overpass at 1-10/1-55 there was a 15 car pile-up because of ice at the top of the bridge so it can get very dangerous. We hope nobody was seriously injured. We should have just rain by tomorrow as we stay in the upper 30's even 40's and much better for the weekend. Be carefull out there you know how I worry.
