Twas the night before we played all Christmas music, when all through the control room not a creature was stirring knowing the Christmas music would start soon. The Christmas CD’s were stacked by the CD players with care, in hopes that the Christmas shoes wouldn’t be there. The DJ’s were nestled snug with their headphones in beds while visions of higher ratings danced in their heads. And the tired Program Director in his Santa cap finally got to lay down for a long executive nap. When on the air there arose such a clatter he sprang up to see what was the matter. Away to the control room he flew like a flash... looked in the window and saw the EAS flash... and what to his wondering eye should appear... but a miniature sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer. With an old driver lively and quick...he knew in a moment it must be St Nick. And then he whistled and shouted...time for Holly Jolly, time for Silver Bells and Deck The Halls. Now play em, play em, play em all…and with a wink of his eye and a push of a button he started the Christmas music like it was nutton. He spoke not a word my dear, but went straight to work filling the airways with holiday cheer, so the PD gave him a nod and walked down the hall knowing Santa had made the right call. Ending the night knowing the station was just fine... but heard him exclaim as he walked out of sight, It’s the Magic of Christmas on Magic 101.9
