New Orleans Magazine's Sushi Fest and Competition will feature sushi creations from restaurants around the New Orleans area. Each participating chef will compete in various categories. One sushi chef will be crowned the 2014 Grand Champion by a panel of judges. Enjoy an evening with some of New Orleans' best sushi chefs while enjoying Japanese beer, sake and live entertainment. Tickets $10 in advance, $20 at the door.

More than four decades since CSN first harmonized in Laurel Canyon, and played its first-ever concert as a trio at the legendary Woodstock festival, its members continue a creative partnership that is one of the most influential and enduring in music. David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash have each been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times.
 

Saints Kickoff Run


Saturday, September 6th
Champions Square
The 5k the day before the Saints season opener at the Atlanta Falcons begins in Champions Square and ends with fans running through the Saints team tunnel onto the playing field at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, sprinting to a finish on the 50-yard line. There will also be an NFL ‘PLAY 60’ Fun Run for Kids. Proceeds will benefit NORDC (New Orleans Recreation Development Commission) and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
